On the morning of June 25, Cambodian Senate President and Cambodian People’s Party President Hun Sen led a senior Cambodian delegation to China for a three-day official goodwill visit.
According to the itinerary, Hun Sen will meet 习近平, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee and president of China, and hold separate working meetings with State Council Premier 李强 and National People’s Congress Standing Committee Chairman 赵乐际 to discuss bilateral and regional issues of shared concern. During the visit, he will also have audiences with Cambodia’s King Norodom Sihamoni and Queen Mother 莫尼列, who are staying in China for rest and recuperation.
The official goodwill visit demonstrates the two countries’ determination to continue strengthening and deepening their longstanding tradition of good-neighbourly friendship. It is expected to further consolidate their enduring “ironclad friendship,” reinforce the foundation of the Cambodia–China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership and advance the all-weather Cambodia–China community with a shared future in the new era.
