On June 24, 2026, Environment Minister អ៊ាង សុផល្លែត, Rural Development Minister ឆាយ ឬទ្ធិសែន and Water Resources and Meteorology Minister ថោ ជេដ្ឋា led a delegation to green leisure destinations in the protected area of Cardamom Mountains National Park.
The visit aimed to inspect and assess infrastructure at green leisure destinations in Koh Kong and Kampong Speu provinces, with a view to creating a green leisure tourism corridor linking communities and sites with nature-tourism potential within the Cardamom protected area.
Developing and strengthening these destinations is expected to improve local community livelihoods, expand economic opportunities, promote natural-resource conservation and make biodiversity protection more effective.
