Preah Sihanouk: A Japanese aquaculture technical delegation visited a farm raising shrimp and crabs (ក្តាមថ្ម) in សំរុងក្រោម village, សំរុង commune, Prey Nob district, Preah Sihanouk province, on the afternoon of July 6, 2026. The visit aimed to learn about farming techniques and aquaculture management to improve production efficiency.
The visit was led by ជា ឆេង, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, accompanied by នេន ចំរើន, head of the Preah Sihanouk Provincial Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, the governor of Prey Nob district, technical officials and other stakeholders.
The Japanese delegation and Cambodian specialists examined shrimp and crab farming conditions, exchanged experience and shared useful techniques to strengthen production quality and local farmers’ capabilities.
The visit reflected Cambodia–Japan cooperation in aquaculture development through the transfer of knowledge, technology and experience, intended to improve livelihoods, strengthen production capacity and promote sustainable local economic development.
