An operation was launched to check for weapons and explosives and combat offences along National Road 4.
Preah Sihanouk: Acting on strict orders from Brigadier General ហេង ប៊ុនទី, commander of the Preah Sihanouk Provincial Gendarmerie, four personnel from the Kampong Som City Gendarmerie base, led by deputy commander First Lieutenant ពៅ សាវៀត, joined the city’s unified administrative command forces, jointly led by deputy city governor នន់ ធូ, to establish a checkpoint at 9 p.m. on July 7, 2026.
The operation took place on National Road 4 between kilometres 209 and 210 in ថ្មធំ village, Ream sangkat, Kampong Som city, Preah Sihanouk province. It focused on searches for weapons, explosives and prohibited substances, as well as identifying other offences, to maintain security and public order and protect residents’ safety.
