The 2026 FIFA World Cup in Canada, Mexico and the United States is approaching its conclusion, with the schedule for the closing matches confirmed. In Cambodian local time, England will face France in the third-place match at 4 a.m. on July 19, followed by the final between Argentina and Spain at 2 a.m. on July 20, when they will compete for the World Cup trophy.
To allow people to share in the football tournament held every four years, several Cambodian provinces and cities have made advance arrangements for large outdoor live screenings in landmark parks, providing spaces for supporters to watch together and cheer on the teams.
Phnom Penh has three main viewing sites: 河滨公园 near the Win-Win Monument, the park in front of 波东华岱寺, and 金银岛公园. In Siem Reap, the site is at 市皇宫前河滨体育公园, equipped with a very large, high-definition LED screen. Kampong Thom has chosen the riverside park in Stung Sen city, while Kampot has installed a giant screen at 百贡不河滨公园 for supporters in the coastal area.
The viewing arrangements cover major Cambodian cities and coastal and lake areas, bringing together urban and rural audiences. Supporters are expected to gather at the outdoor sites for the England–France third-place match and the Argentina–Spain final to watch the tournament draw to a close.
