During the current exceptional period, working groups have adjusted earlier fixed-frequency arrangements and visited frontline positions to provide support and strengthen morale.
Addressing the Cambodia-Thailand border dispute, 任威西 said the Cambodian government remained committed to international law and peaceful consultation in handling border issues. He said it would resolve differences without force and protect the lives and property of civilians and military personnel in both countries, while firmly maintaining that no force would be allowed to encroach on or annex Cambodian territory.
He called on the military and public to remain united, trust the government and support its work to defend territorial integrity and resolve the border dispute peacefully. The report also states that the government has allocated special funds for local administration and assistance to people displaced by conflict, to address urgent public needs.
Total expenditure for the visit was reported at 59.7 million riel, covering rice, instant food, seasonings and dedicated cash assistance for troops and military families.
