An investment delegation comprising nearly 70 Chinese companies is visiting Cambodia from July 22 to 24 for targeted visits and exchanges, to examine the business and investment environment on the ground, connect with local market resources and explore new bilateral trade and economic opportunities.
The delegation was led by a council member of the Guangxi International Friendship Exchange Association and representatives of Chinese entrepreneurs. Its companies came from Guangxi, Guangdong, Sichuan, Fujian, Beijing, Chongqing, Hong Kong and other provinces, cities and regions. They spanned diverse industries and business models, including new energy, new-energy vehicle manufacturing, advanced agricultural processing, healthcare, artificial intelligence, digital technology, high-end industrial manufacturing, infrastructure construction, cross-border e-commerce, modern logistics, cultural tourism and hotels, and financial services, offering broad industry representation and potential for cooperation.
During the visit, the Chinese and Cambodian sides jointly heldthe China–Cambodia Business and Investment Cooperation Forum, themed “Cambodia Welcomes Chinese Investment to Create a Better Future Together”, providing a platform for government–business and business–business exchanges. Cambodian representatives said this was the first time Cambodia had welcomed a Chinese corporate investment delegation on such a large scale, with nearly 70 companies visiting together. They said the visits built an efficient communication bridge, would deepen connections between the two business communities, strengthen bilateral cooperation and advance practical investment cooperation across sectors.
Chinese business representatives said the Cambodia visit was both a targeted business investment study tour and an important opportunity to deepen people-to-people friendship between Guangxi and Cambodia and promote trade and economic exchanges. They said participating companies would build on their respective industrial strengths and the jointly developed“Belt and Road” cooperation framework to pursue multidimensional and deeper industrial cooperation with Cambodian partners, improve bilateral trade, expand and upgrade two-way investment, and support continued healthy, mutually beneficial economic and trade relations.
