The previous day, the APSARA National Authority worked with relevant authorities to plant 700 saplings at two sites south of ភ្នំបូក, in រុនតាឯក village and ward, រុនតាឯកតេជោសែន city. The planting aimed to restore forest cover in the Angkor World Heritage protection area that had previously been cleared and encroached on by wrongdoers.
The event was led by ឡី គឹមស៊ី, Deputy Director of APSARA’s Department of Public Order; អ៊ូ ពុធសាវន, Chair of the រុនតាឯកតេជោសែន City Council; ម៉ៅ ឧស្សាហ៍, Deputy City Governor representing the city governor; and ប៉ុន ហុក, a city hall official. Around 240 people took part, including city police, city military police, personnel of the city military sub-operational area, រុនតាឯក ward administrative police, local village, commune and ward authorities, and teachers and pupils from រុនតាឯក High School.
