A joint team from the Doun Kaev municipal administration took legal enforcement measures on July 23, 2026, halting construction and seizing building materials at two unauthorised construction sites in Village 1, រកាក្នុង ward, and ស្វាយជ្រុំ village, បារាយណ៍ ward, Doun Kaev city, Takeo province.
After halting work at the sites, the municipal authorities continued to urge residents, site owners and all construction companies to prepare their documents and apply to the competent authorities for construction permits before beginning any type of construction, to avoid facing legal enforcement measures.
Doun Kaev Governor ឌឹម គឹមសាន assigned Deputy Governor សោ សុផល to lead the joint team to the two unauthorised sites. It included specialist officers in land management, urban planning, construction and cadastre, police personnel and the municipal public-order coordination team. During the operation, សោ សុផល said the municipal administration did not obstruct development or residents’ construction, but all construction must comply with technical standards and have valid permits to ensure safety and building quality, maintain public order and avoid infringing neighbours’ rights and interests.
The Doun Kaev municipal administration said its specialist teams would continue regular inspections of all construction sites within its jurisdiction and strictly apply legal measures against any site that continued building without a permit, to ensure orderly, safe and lawful development in the city.
