As of late July 2026, construction of the Chak Angre Krom–Prek Pra bridge across the Bassac River was 81.40% complete, ahead of the planned schedule, according to Ministry of Public Works and Transport spokesperson ផន រឹម on the morning of July 28.
ផន រឹម said the bridge was scheduled to be joined by the end of 2026. The left section, where a gap of 10 metres currently remains, is planned to be connected in October 2026, while the right section is scheduled for connection around mid-December 2026.
Construction of the Chak Angre Krom–Prek Pra bridge was launched on the morning of February 19, 2024, at a ceremony presided over by Prime Minister Hun Manet and then Chinese ambassador to Cambodia Wang Wentian. Construction is not behind the planned work schedule and is expected to be completed at the end of 2027.
