The tourism forum and industry familiarisation visit were scheduled for July 29–30, 2026, at Sokha Beach Resort, with more than 150 representatives expected.

The 2026 Preah Sihanouk Tourism Business Forum and tourism industry familiarisation visit are scheduled for July 29–30 at Sokha Beach Resort in Sihanoukville, jointly organised by Cambodia’s Ministry of Tourism and the provincial administration. As a key event in Cambodia’s 2026 Green Season tourism campaign, it is expected to attract more than 150 representatives from government departments, tourism organisations, industry associations and relevant businesses.
Cambodia’s Green Season is described as an annual tourism promotion initiative running from May to October. It aims to challenge the conventional view of the rainy season as the tourism low season, highlighting ecological attractions such as forests, waterfalls and mangroves to promote more balanced tourism throughout the year.
The forum will address tourism product development, investment cooperation, transport connectivity and visitor-market expansion. High-level discussions, tourism presentations, business matching and site visits will further promote exchanges and cooperation among government bodies, industry associations and tourism businesses.
Preah Sihanouk has diverse natural tourism resources, including beaches, islands, mangroves and waterfalls, together with transport advantages such as an international airport, a deep-water port and an expressway. The forum aims to bring together local cultural and tourism resources, develop green tourism products, strengthen the province’s competitiveness as a destination, and attract more domestic and international visitors and tourism investment.
During the forum, domestic and international tourism buyers will hold business discussions with local hotels, resorts, travel agencies, catering businesses and transport providers to explore cooperation. On July 30, participants will also visit coastal, island, cultural and ecological tourism projects in groups to learn about local resources, visitor-service capacity and industry development.
Industry observers believe the forum will strengthen links among government, businesses and the market, better connect tourism resources with market demand, and bring fresh momentum to China–Cambodia tourism cooperation. Developing distinctive products such as coastal leisure and ecological holidays could also diversify Cambodia’s tourism offerings, extend visitors’ stays and enhance the country’s overall appeal as an international destination.KPS99TV will follow the forum throughout, providing continuing coverage of the opening ceremony, thematic discussions, tourism presentations, business matching and site visits to bring viewers the latest updates.
