The 2026 Tourism Business Forum and tourism-industry familiarisation activities opened at Sokha Beach Resort in Sihanoukville on July 29. Under the theme “Green Season—Promoting Tourism in Preah Sihanouk Province, Cambodia,” the forum brought together government departments, tourism organisations, business representatives and media from Cambodia and China to discuss green tourism development and new opportunities for bilateral tourism cooperation.
Attendees at the opening included Preah Sihanouk governor Mang Sineth, Cambodian Tourism Minister Huot Hak, 柯学, director of the Chinese Embassy in Cambodia’s Consular Office in Sihanoukville, Zhou Wendong, vice-mayor of the Chinese sister city Wuxi, and representatives of Sihanouk International Airport and tourism businesses. A promotional film showcased the province’s coastal, island and ecological tourism resources. Mang Sineth then delivered welcoming remarks, followed by an opening address by Huot Hak.
Delegates discussed tourism-resource development, industry cooperation and market expansion in Preah Sihanouk. Tourism business-matching sessions were scheduled to continue in the afternoon, with representatives from hotels, restaurants, travel agencies, aviation and transport services holding further talks to explore cooperation opportunities.
As part of Cambodia’s “Green Season Tourism” activities, the forum aims to build on Preah Sihanouk’s natural resources and location, develop green tourism products, and promote exchanges among government, businesses and markets, giving fresh impetus to Cambodia–China tourism cooperation.
KPS99TV will continue covering the forum and bring viewers the latest developments.
