Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior H.E. Sar Sokha, on October 5, 2026, issued guidelines ordering all types of heavy vehicles to suspend operations for a total of three days before and after the Pchum Ben festival.
In the guidelines, H.E. called on all travelers to continue to respect traffic laws, drive with caution and courtesy toward one another, and follow the instructions of traffic police officers.
At the same time, H.E. the Minister also instructed local authorities and traffic police officers to pay attention to facilitating the flow of traffic for citizens, especially at the exit gates of Phnom Penh, at intersections and at major bridges.
