Preah Sihanouk Province: His Excellency Mang Sineth, Governor of the Preah Sihanouk Provincial Administration, led a meeting to review and discuss a proposal from Dracocam Development Co., Ltd. to lease 10 hectares of state land for 50 years, with an investment of more than US$10 million, for a solid waste (garbage) processing project at the landfill located in Outeasek Village, Ou Oknha Heng Commune, Kampong Saom City, Preah Sihanouk Province. The meeting was attended by the Deputy Governor, officials from relevant departments and units, and representatives of the investing company on the afternoon of October 16, 2026.
On that occasion, Mr. Long Dimanche, Deputy Governor of Preah Sihanouk Province, reported to the meeting that previously, this long-term state land lease proposal for garbage processing had been discussed in 4 meetings. The company had prepared a plan in line with technical standards, ensuring proper sanitation and environmental protection, and today the working group submitted it to His Excellency the Governor for review, revision, and supplementation of certain points.
A representative of Dracocam Development Co., Ltd. affirmed the company's firm commitment and clear position, stating that the company has sufficient capital, modern technology, and practical experience in managing and processing waste, which has been successfully implemented in several countries.
Speaking at the meeting, His Excellency Mang Sineth, Governor of Preah Sihanouk Province, expressed support for the company's investment project to process garbage into useful resources and reduce environmental impact in the locality. At the same time, His Excellency the Governor also instructed relevant technical officials to continue holding detailed and clear technical discussions with the company's representatives on the points the company has submitted to the authorities, to ensure the smooth and lawful implementation of the project between the company and the technical working group managing the landfill.
