On 16 October 2026, His Excellency Ishizuki Hideo had the high honor of paying homage and presenting his credentials to His Majesty Preah Karuna Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni, King of the Kingdom of Cambodia. This important ceremony is part of formal diplomatic protocol, reflecting the continued strengthening of friendship and cooperation between Cambodia and the country His Excellency represents. His Excellency Ishizuki Hideo is the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Kingdom of Cambodia. He formally presented his credentials to His Majesty Preah Karuna Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni, King of the Kingdom of Cambodia, on the morning of Friday, 16 October 2026, at the Royal Palace.
It should be recalled that before being appointed as Ambassador to Cambodia, His Excellency Ishizuki Hideo held several important positions at Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including Director-General of the International Cooperation Bureau at Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Director-General of the Southeast Asia and Southwest Asia Affairs Department, and also Chair of the Mekong-Japan Cooperation Working Group.
