On the morning of October 18, 2026, Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate and Chairman of the Supreme Privy Council to His Majesty the King, posted a message on social media under the heading "A dog that rode the cart," attaching a recollection from childhood and direct criticism of an individual.

Samdech Techo recalled: "When I was young, I saw my dog running after the cart. Feeling sorry for it, I picked it up to ride the cart with me. Once it got on the cart, I saw it put on an arrogant face. From then on, I often said that this one behaves like a dog that rode the cart, applied to any person with an arrogant character."

Samdech Techo continued: "A few days ago, the Prime Minister was apparently fed up with a former convict, whom I call (the convict), who came to point out border pillars 52 to 59 on the Cambodia-Thailand border, accusing the Royal Government of ceding land to Thailand. The moment the Prime Minister uttered its name, this convict behaved like a dog that rode the cart, asking for pardons both for itself and for its group."

Hun Sen added: "Asking for a pardon means admitting guilt, doesn't it, convict? I use words like these only with this convict because it is far too rude." By: Pai Sokhim
