Preah Sihanouk province: To strengthen workplace safety and reduce fire risks, specialist officers from the Fire Prevention, Firefighting and Rescue Office of the Preah Sihanouk Provincial Police held training and demonstrations in fire prevention, firefighting and emergency rescue for employees of China Duty Free Group (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. on the morning of October 20, 2026. The enterprise is in Village 4, Sangkat 4, Sihanoukville, Preah Sihanouk province.
The operation followed the guidance of General Sa Thet, Commissioner-General of the National Police, and regular instructions from Lieutenant General Sar Ratha, Commissioner of Preah Sihanouk Provincial Police, on strengthening safety measures at local factories, enterprises and other businesses.
A total of 45 employees attended the training, including 15 women and two foreign nationals. Specialist officers explained how fires start and how to prevent them, the correct and timely use of fire extinguishers, first aid for casualties, plans for safely evacuating danger areas, and practical field exercises to improve proficiency and confidence when responding to real incidents.
