On the evening of October 19, 2026, Cambodian Tourism Minister Huot Hak and Lao PDR Minister of Culture and Tourism Suanesavanh Vignaket presided over a tour of exhibition booths at celebrations marking the 70th anniversary of Cambodia–Laos diplomatic relations in Stung Treng province. Participants included provincial council chairman ឈាង ឡាក់, Stung Treng governor សរ សុពុត្រា, officials and representatives of relevant ministries and institutions, domestic and international guests, tourism associations, tour operators and private-sector representatives from both countries.
The event included an exhibition of Cambodian and Lao food and tourism products, displays of local goods and tourism promotion activities aimed at highlighting tourism potential, raising the profile of domestic products and encouraging exchanges of tourists between the two countries.
A total of 65 booths took part, including booths featuring Cambodian and Lao food and tourism products. Tourism associations, tour operators and private businesses displayed goods and services showcasing the diversity of the two countries’ food, cultures and tourism offerings.
The event’s main aims included promoting tourism products and services, boosting sales of local goods, providing market expansion opportunities for tour operators, building connections between business partners and investors, and further strengthening tourism cooperation and the longstanding friendship between Cambodia and Laos.
