Detainees were transferred from Svay Rieng provincial prison to Correctional Centre 3 for continued detention on the morning of October 22, 2026. Relevant forces coordinated the operation under approval in principle from Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sar Sokha.
The operation followed instructions from ឈន សាណាត, Director-General of the General Department of Prisons, and was led directly by មាន ថាវរិន្ទ, Director of the Prison Security Department. Both hold the rank of First-Class General Prison Commissioner.
The transfer involved the Prison Security Department, the Operations Department, Svay Rieng provincial prison, Correctional Centre 3 and relevant authorities in Svay Rieng, Prey Veng and Tboung Khmum provinces.
The transfer was carried out safely so that the detainees could continue their correctional education and rehabilitation at Correctional Centre 3. By PENH Sopheak.
