According to a report published by Thailand’s Khaosod English on Tuesday, December 23, the Thai defence minister said: “No country is truly on Thailand’s side.”
Natthaphon Narkphanit said: “No country is truly on our side. Each country speaks as if it stands in the middle or is neutral, but in practice they side with Cambodia, despite claiming to be impartial. They listen only to information from Cambodia and see Thailand as a large country carrying out aggression against Cambodia.”
He continued: “Therefore, no country is on our side. I have not seen any country condemn Cambodia over the issue of planting mines in Thai territory. Instead, those countries only call on Thailand to reduce its use of weapons and ease tensions.”
