Preah Sihanouk: Domestic and international investors continue to trust the royal government’s leadership under Samdech Techo Hun Sen and Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia. This was the view expressed by Thong Setha, project owner and development partner at Run Mansion, at his project’s launch on the evening of December 25, 2025. He said that despite the border situation involving Thai military aggression against Cambodia, the country remained safe and continued to attract tourists and investors, especially in Preah Sihanouk province.
He said that he and his investment partners from China were continuing to invest millions of dollars in luxury housing. Their aim was to showcase and expand a satellite town with a comfortable residential environment to attract domestic and international visitors. Tourist arrivals in Preah Sihanouk were increasing, particularly by cruise ship, including an increase in Chinese visitors. He said his project emphasised environmental appearance and standards for solid and liquid waste before discharge into the sea. As a Cambodian citizen and investor, he regretted the neighbouring country’s aggression and its effect on Cambodia’s economy. He said he was helping get the economy moving again by attracting foreign investors to undertake development responding to Cambodia’s economic needs.
Speaking at the event, Preah Sihanouk deputy governor Hem Darith supported Run Mansion’s luxury housing project with Chinese investment partners in the province.
The deputy governor said that despite tension on the Cambodia–Thailand border, Preah Sihanouk continued to experience rapid investment and development, with new investments increasing. Almost all previously stalled buildings had also been redeveloped and reorganised.
The provincial administration was stepping up digital promotion of Preah Sihanouk’s potential to domestic and international audiences. Although insecurity in the province had been discussed previously, investors and visitors to Preah Sihanouk did not encounter what had been described on social media. The provincial administration’s special investment promotion programme continued to facilitate all types of lawful investors in the province.
