China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC) is to construct reinforced-concrete pavement on the National Road 7 section from the Horse Roundabout to the Kizuna Bridge Roundabout from January 13 to April 10, 2026, leaving only one side of the road available for traffic. The Kampong Cham provincial Department of Public Works and Transport has therefore decided to temporarily suspend all types of heavy goods vehicles on that section.
According to its January 10 notice, the provincial public works department said the restriction was intended to ease traffic congestion and prevent possible accidents. Heavy vehicles that normally use the National Road 7 section between the Horse and Kizuna Bridge roundabouts in Kampong Cham city must divert to National Road 8, National Road 11 or National Road 71C. Family (passenger) cars and motorcycles may continue travelling as normal.
