Preah Sihanouk Governor Mang Sineth chaired a meeting on the morning of March 23, 2026 to review and approve land-use plans for Communes 3 and 4 in Sihanoukville and Ou Chrov commune in Kampong Som city.
The approvals follow the 2018 Preah Sihanouk provincial spatial plan. A land-use master plan for Sihanoukville was also approved in September 2021. The volunteer land-planning working group therefore submitted the plans for Communes 3 and 4 for review and approval.
Ou Chrov originally belonged to Prey Nob district. The Cambodian government under Prime Minister Hun Manet issued a sub-decree separating Ou Chrov and four other communes to form Kampong Som city. The volunteer land-planning group therefore submitted Ou Chrov’s plan for review and approval.
Mang Sineth chaired the meeting with deputy governors, mayors, department and unit heads, commune chiefs and other relevant officials. The meeting approved the land-use plans for the three communes.
