On March 29, the ASEAN Observer Team (AOT) visited the area near O Smach checkpoint in Samraong city, Oddar Meanchey province, to verify and assess border conditions following the ceasefire, according to the report.
The report says that, with the Philippines holding the ASEAN chairmanship in 2026, subsequent observation and assessment work would be led by the Philippine side, with continued attention to developments along the Cambodia–Thailand border.
