French President Emmanuel Macron published a message in Khmer on X. According to the report, he described increasingly strong ties between France and Cambodia, announced plans to visit Cambodia in November 2026 to further strengthen relations, and thanked the Cambodian Prime Minister.
The report quotes his Khmer-language message: “Thank you to Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet for taking part in the One Health Summit yesterday in Lyon and for our discussions today in Paris. Cambodia and France share deep historical ties, which are growing stronger in energy, health and heritage.”
The report also quotes Macron as saying: “Our next meeting will be in Phnom Penh, which I will have the honour of visiting in November 2026. This will be another opportunity to strengthen the ties that bind Cambodia and France.”
The report notes that the Khmer-language post followed Hun Manet’s official meeting with Macron on April 8. The Prime Minister led a Cambodian government delegation to the One Health Summit in Lyon and made a working visit to Paris, France, from April 6 to 9.
