Kandal Provincial Governor គួច ចំរើន urged provincial departments and units to strengthen their performance and provide more effective public services that respond to actual needs in local communities.
He made the remarks while co-chairing the provincial council’s 23rd ordinary meeting of its fourth mandate with Council Chairman នូ សាខន on April 8, 2026. Provincial councillors, deputy governors, department and unit representatives and other relevant officials attended.
នូ សាខន commended the provincial Women’s and Children’s Consultative Committee (គ.ក.ស.ក.) for its active social-service work. He said social protection was an important task requiring close cooperation from all parties, and asked the provincial Department of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation to cooperate more effectively with the committee.
The chairman also thanked the committee for working with local authorities and specialist departments to inspect and monitor reports of itching in អង្គរជ័យ village, បន្ទាយដែក commune, កៀនស្វាយ district, and for conducting fieldwork on other cases to assess and address challenges affecting women, young people and children.
Governor គួច ចំរើន again called on provincial departments and units to improve their efficiency and provide better services suited to essential local needs.
In particular, they should work together to address residents’ requests, concerns and difficulties with transparency, accountability and fairness. Matters beyond their authority should be reported to the provincial administration for timely and effective consideration and response.
The council considered, discussed, approved and disseminated relevant legal and regulatory documents across nine important agenda items at the meeting.
