On the morning of April 9, 2026, Cambodian Commerce Minister Cham Nimul said at the Singapore Business Federation Center that Cambodia sought to be a strategic destination for Singapore businesses expanding into regional trade markets. She highlighted continued policies on open trade, investment attraction, trade facilitation, export promotion and modernisation of the business environment.
She led a Cambodian delegation to the seminar “Cambodia: Business Outlook 2026 and Unlocking Opportunities”, organised by the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) in cooperation with Aquarii BD Cambodia. Participants included Cambodian business representatives, Singapore private-sector representatives, federation members, investors and trading partners.
The seminar presented Cambodia’s economic potential and discussed cooperation opportunities in priority sectors, including logistics and supply-chain management, agro-industry and food processing, the digital economy and higher-value-added industries.
The minister said the forum could advance commercial diplomacy, business networking, exports, international market expansion and the attraction of new investment. She said it offered Cambodian businesses opportunities to showcase production capabilities, find new partners, strengthen trade cooperation and expand access to Singapore and other international markets.
The report also described the forum as demonstrating Cambodia’s commitment to long-term business partnerships, higher product value addition and deeper, more effective bilateral economic cooperation with Singapore.
She invited Singapore investors and businesses to learn more about Cambodia’s potential and explore new opportunities for investment, trade and partnerships with Cambodian businesses in complementary sectors. By សុខ ស៊ីណាន.
