Suo Vireak, general director of Vireak Buntham, said he had invested about US$4 million to date in an agricultural fertiliser factory covering approximately 15 hectares in Traeng Trayueng commune, Phnum Sruoch district, Kampong Speu province.
The factory formally opened on April 22, 2026, following six months of trial supply and distribution of agricultural fertiliser products.
During the trial period, the factory supplied three types of fertiliser made from local raw materials: natural organic fertiliser, worm-cast fertiliser and liquid fertiliser. He said the factory could produce 250 tonnes of natural organic fertiliser a day, while chemical fertiliser production capacity could reach 600 tonnes a day.
Suo Vireak added that the factory could increase natural organic fertiliser production to 1,000 tonnes a day, depending on actual demand.
In addition to the organic fertiliser factory, Vireak Buntham is building a food factory along Road 51, approximately 25 kilometres from Phnom Penh. By Pai Sokhim
