Cambodia’s General Department of Immigration said it deported 330 Chinese nationals, including six women, during an operation on the night of May 5 into the early hours of May 6. The department said the operation was coordinated under Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sar Sokha.
According to the notice cited in the report, the people concerned were involved in cases relating to online scams, unlawful residence or unauthorized work. They left on a charter flight through Techo International Airport.
The department described the operation as part of efforts to strengthen immigration management and public security. It also said authorities sought to identify and assist people who had been deceived or coerced, helping them return home safely.
