According to the report, Preah Sihanouk Governor Mang Sineth visited 67 veteran and retiree families living at a social land concession in ទំនប់រលក commune, Stung Hav district, on the morning of May 14, 2026. The visit marked the 19th Cambodia Veterans and Retirees Day, observed on May 12, 2026.
During the visit, the governor conveyed greetings from Hun Sen and Bun Rany Hun Sen, and from Hun Manet and his wife, to the veteran and retiree families.
He also inspected progress on housing for veterans and retirees. The report said 20 houses had been completed and another 31 were under construction.
Mang Sineth said government leaders continued to care for veterans’ and retirees’ welfare and livelihoods rather than leaving them isolated. He said they had sacrificed their strength, effort and blood to defend the country and the Cambodian people.
The governor also discussed support for mixed farming, including rambutan, jackfruit, coconut and banana plants, other fruit crops, chickens and ducks, with the aim of improving daily livelihoods.
Brigadier General នូវ សំអុល, commander of the Preah Sihanouk Military Operations Sub-Region and head of the provincial veterans and retirees association secretariat, reported that 65 veteran families were permanently living at the social land concession with government land and housing support. He said construction of another 31 houses was continuing.
On behalf of the veterans and retirees, he thanked leaders at all levels for arranging roads, water, electricity, housing, materials and financial support to improve the families’ living conditions.
The report said the governor also delivered gifts attributed in the original text to “Samdech”. It listed the assistance per recipient as 25 kilograms of rice, food and other supplies, and 100,000 riels.
