Cambodian Minister of Commerce Cham Nimul presided over the closing ceremony of the Russian GAZ Commercial Vehicle Exhibition and Test Drive Programme at Sokha Phnom Penh Residence Hotel on May 16, 2026.
Participants included Russian Ambassador to Cambodia Anatoly Borovik, senior Commerce Ministry officials, representatives of the Cambodia-Russia Business Association and GAZ Business Solutions, and other guests.
The minister welcomed the event, describing it as an opportunity to establish business partnerships and expand the presence of Russian GAZ commercial vehicles in the Cambodian market. She said demand for commercial vehicles in Cambodia was continuing to grow.
She also said the programme formed part of celebrations marking the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Cambodia and Russia and reflected the development of their economic, trade and friendly relations.
The minister encouraged Russian companies, particularly GAZ Business Solutions, to expand investment and cooperation in Cambodia and strengthen after-sales services, spare-parts supply and workforce development in support of Cambodia’s automotive industry. By: ប៉ៃ សុឃីម
