Cambodia increased retail fuel prices from May 19, 2026, setting regular petrol at 5,400 riel per litre and diesel at 5,450 riel per litre. Both rose by 250 riel compared with the prices announced on May 12. The Ministry of Commerce said the new rates would apply from May 19 until further notice.
The report said the government continued support measures and fuel-tax reductions to ease pressure on households as international oil prices rose. These included a price reduction of 6.5 US cents per litre, with an additional reduction of 1 US cent when international prices exceeded the specified thresholds.
The measures reported included reducing fuel import duty to zero, cutting the special tax on petrol from 30% to 15% and on diesel from 4% to zero, and reducing value-added tax on petrol from 10% to 4% and on diesel to zero. The measures were intended to ease the impact of higher fuel prices on living costs.
