A metal-processing plant making components for vehicle batteries is proposed for Sihanoukville, Preah Sihanouk province. On May 25, 2026, Deputy Governor Long Dimanche, also Vice-Chairman of the provincial investment subcommittee, led relevant technical officials to inspect the site proposed for investment-project registration by Pu Feng New Energy Technology Co., LTD, in Sangkat 1 of Sihanoukville.
According to the company, production would be aimed at exports to China, and the plant would require about 100 workers when operating at full capacity. Under the province’s investor-support arrangements, the deputy governor instructed local authorities and relevant departments to help coordinate procedures and provide continuing advice to facilitate the investment.
He also asked the company to prioritise local residents for employment, properly enrol staff and workers in the National Social Security Fund, provide good ventilation and emergency exits, install sufficient fire-prevention and firefighting equipment, and plant additional trees to improve the working environment and staff comfort.
