Sin Chansereyvutha said Cambodia’s Techo International Airport (KTI) ranked fifth among the World’s Best New Airport Terminals 2026 in the Skytrax World Airport Awards.
The assessment considers infrastructure and airport facilities, passenger services, staff quality and passenger experience. The award covers new passenger terminals that opened in the 18 months before the awards. The results were formally announced at the Skytrax World Airport Awards 2026 ceremony in London, United Kingdom, on March 18, 2026, held alongside the Passenger Terminal Expo & Conference.
Sin Chansereyvutha, secretary of state and spokesperson for the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation, said the ranking was international recognition of Techo International Airport’s quality and standards, and would help promote aviation, tourism and further investment in Cambodia.
The top five in the World’s Best New Airport Terminal 2026 ranking are:
1. Aso Kumamoto Airport — Japan
2. Terminal 3, Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport — China
3. Terminal 1, San Diego International Airport — United States
4. Navi Mumbai International Airport — India
5. Techo International Airport — Cambodia
The achievement reflects the development of Cambodia’s aviation infrastructure and its growing international competitiveness.
