On the afternoon of June 16, 2026, Kampong Chhnang authorities led by deputy governor ជា សុខរិទ្ធិ, with legal coordination from a deputy prosecutor, closed a black-oil and soap production workshop in អូតានេស village, Rolea B’ier commune and district.
ជា សុខរិទ្ធិ said the owner had not obtained the proper permit from the responsible ministry.
On June 5, a provincial joint team had inspected the site, instructed it to suspend operations temporarily and allowed ten days to prepare permit-application documents. The workshop had still not met the requirements when authorities decided to close it.
