Kampong Speu provincial gendarmerie detained ten youths for counseling, required pledges to stop and temporarily seized their motorcycles after they performed wheelies on public Road 106 in ពាណិជ្ជកម្ម village, រការធំ sangkat, ច្បារមន city, on June 13.
The provincial gendarmerie described the behavior as disorderly, unsafe and frightening to local residents, and contrary to morality, discipline and the law. The operation followed strict orders from provincial commander Brigadier General ម៉េង ស្រ៊ុន.
Officers seized five motorcycles: a blue 2018 NEX, registration កំពង់ឆ្នាំង 1G-4644; a black 2020 HONDA DREAM, ភ្នំពេញ 1IN-7395; a black 2024 HONDA DREAM, ភ្នំពេញ 1KU-6795; a dark red 2026 HONDA DREAM, កំពង់ធំ 1U-0188; and a dark red 2026 HONDA DREAM, កំពង់ឆ្នាំង 1Q-1266. They also seized 12 phones: 11 iPhones and one VIVO.
The youths have been counseled and required to make pledges before their parents and guardians to stop the disorderly conduct. The motorcycles will be retained at provincial gendarmerie headquarters for three months.
