Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet said this morning that Dr. ពេជ ចន្ទមុន្នី ហ៊ុនម៉ាណែត, honorary president of the Cambodia Kantha Bopha Foundation, attended a ceremony to receive a donation from the Kingdom of Cambodia’s senior Buddhist clergy.
At the handover ceremony, she thanked អំ លីមហេង, head of the Maha Nikaya monastic order in Cambodia, together with senior monks, provincial and district monastic leaders, monastic officials, abbots and elders of the senior clergy, for their generous donation of 160,000,000 riel (one hundred and sixty million riel) to the Cambodia Kantha Bopha Foundation. The donation will help Kantha Bopha hospitals continue saving lives and bring hope, smiles and a bright future to Cambodian children and their families.
She also appealed to all benefactors to continue supporting, participating in and donating to the Cambodia Kantha Bopha Foundation, particularly its 2026 “10,000 riel, 10,000 people” campaign. The fundraising drive supports examinations and treatment for infants, children and pregnant women at Kantha Bopha hospitals in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap. It is also one of the major annual events held in the spirit of Cambodians helping Cambodians for the country’s future.
