Ratanakiri welcomed a delegation of 181 people, comprising 11 leaders and 170 foreign scholarship students, including 62 women, for a three-day study visit from 24 to 26 June 2026 to learn about the province’s nature tourism and Indigenous cultures.
The students included 91 from Vietnam, 71 from Laos and eight from China. They visited natural attractions and Indigenous community villages in Ratanakiri.
According to the provincial tourism department, the programme aimed to introduce the province’s tourism potential, culture, civilisation, traditions, customs and Indigenous livelihoods, helping foreign students better understand Cambodia’s cultural and natural diversity.
The department said the visit would promote Ratanakiri’s tourism internationally and contribute to stronger friendship, solidarity and cultural cooperation among Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos and China.
