Kratie — On the night of 24 June 2026, mobile weighing officers from the Ministry of Public Works stopped two heavy trucks in Kratie province for inspection.

The specialist officers reported serious violations:

Truck 1, carrying sand, weighed as much as 99 tonnes in total, exceeding the legal limit by 54 tonnes.

Truck 2, carrying resin, also exceeded the permitted load by as much as 46 tonnes.

Because such overloading was described as a major cause of premature road damage, the officers took legal action and immediately imposed fines on the owners of both trucks.

The ministry again reminded truck owners and transport companies to exercise care and strictly comply with weight limits to help protect national roads and extend their service life.
