Vice Admiral ទៀ សុខា, navy commander and secretary-general of the National Committee for Maritime Security, said the navy would continue regular training and skills development to strengthen personnel and support Royal Cambodian Armed Forces reform.
He made the remarks at the opening of the first staff training course and the 11th seamanship training course of 2026 at the Naval Institute on 26 June 2026.
He said the navy had rigorously carried out its duties to defend Cambodia’s sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity, waters, islands and coastline, and cooperated with other armed forces to respond effectively to different situations.
Beyond its core duties, the navy focused on human-resource development and improving personnel’s knowledge and practical skills through continuing training.
Vice Admiral ទៀ សុខា added that the new courses were an important step in strengthening personnel for national defence and building a highly skilled, modern military under Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet’s leadership. By: Pai Sokhim
