Preah Sihanouk Governor Mang Sineth expressed regret over the natural disaster and conveyed messages of concern from government leaders, whom he described as consistently attentive to residents’ welfare.
He spoke during a visit on the afternoon of 29 June 2026 to residents affected by rain flooding in ចំណោតរាម village, បិតត្រាំង sangkat, កំពង់សោម city, Preah Sihanouk province, bringing emergency relief supplies and some cash assistance.
He urged all residents to remain highly alert to their own and their families’ safety, especially young children and older people, as weather conditions had not yet returned to normal.
He instructed local authorities and relevant forces to continue monitoring the flooding closely so they would be ready to rescue residents promptly if needed.
The assistance included essential food and household supplies and some money to help ease residents’ living burdens during the emergency.
