On the morning of 30 June 2026, Preah Sihanouk’s administration held a meeting on arts activities and tourism information to make the province’s tourism potential more attractive and more widely known.
The meeting was chaired by Deputy Governor សាមុត សុធារិទ្ធ, with leaders, relevant technical officials and representatives of several media organisations attending.
The deputy governor stressed the importance of using arts, culture and the media to attract tourists and publicise Preah Sihanouk’s natural beauty, cultural identity and economic potential.
ណៃ សាលី, deputy director of the provincial administration, presented suitable locations for performances at major tourist sites. ប៊ុត បុប្ផា, head of the provincial Culture and Fine Arts Department, discussed plans for traditional Khmer performances, especially Preah Thong–Neang Neak, to entertain visitors and promote national cultural identity.
CHEN LING, assistant to the chairman of the board and a KPS 99TV representative, presented a map of provincial tourist destinations and proposed a website and a channel called “Visit Preah Sihanouk” as digital platforms to promote the province’s tourism potential, culture and major events to domestic and international visitors.
The meeting also received comments, guidance and suggestions for improvement from relevant departments to help organise arts activities and tourism publicity effectively and attract more visitors to the coastal province in future.
