The National Committee for Disaster Management, led by Senior Minister and First Vice-President គន់ គីម, urged Preah Vihear provincial authorities to continue monitoring and preparing to respond to rain-induced flooding that temporarily affected homes and livelihoods.
According to the committee’s report, heavy rain on the night of 29 June 2026 in the តាកឹងបៃតង village area of Preah Vihear overwhelmed drainage and flooded some homes.
After receiving the information, disaster-management teams immediately intervened with the កងវិស្វកម្មតេជោសែនសៀមរាប engineering force, the provincial administration and relevant departments, cutting sections of roads to divert and drain water from affected areas.
After approximately three hours of drainage work, the water had fully receded from residents’ homes.
On behalf of the committee, គន់ គីម praised the rescue teams and relevant authorities for their cooperation and timely intervention in resolving the rain-flooding situation.
