Preah Sihanouk province: The provincial Department of Commerce launched the national-products campaign #MadeInCambodia on July 18, 2026 at ដាយម៉ីនផ្លាហ្សា shopping centre in Sangkat 3, Sihanoukville, near the January 7 platform. The event promotes the use of Cambodian products and supports micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). It runs for two days, July 18–19, 2026.
The ceremony was presided over by តោ ពិឡា, secretary of state at the Ministry of Commerce. Participants included Min Kompheak, deputy governor of Preah Sihanouk province; ព្រហ្ម សុខជាវណ្ណដា, director of the provincial Department of Commerce; leaders of relevant departments and units; artisans; producers; MSMEs; and representatives of the private sector.
Min Kompheak said the campaign aims to expand markets for domestic products, give Cambodian producers and enterprises opportunities to display and sell directly, encourage the public to support and use national products, build confidence in their quality, and strengthen links among producers, distributors and markets.
He said the campaign is expected to expand markets for local products, promote national pride, stimulate business activity, create jobs and contribute to local economic growth, in line with the government’s Pentagonal Strategy–Phase I.
តោ ពិឡា, secretary of state at the Ministry of Commerce, thanked the provincial administration for helping organise the event and providing its venue. She also praised cooperation with the private sector, particularly MSMEs, artisans, local producers, supermarkets, malls, marts and mini-marts, in broadening the production, distribution and use of Cambodian products.
She stressed that every Cambodian has an important role in supporting national products by using them, promoting them and helping bring them to wider markets. The #MadeInCambodia national-products campaign not only promotes local products but also expresses commitment to the country, its farmers and producers, while contributing to a stronger national economy.
She added that the Ministry of Commerce initiated the campaign to promote locally made products, increase consumers’ awareness of their quality, prices and standards, and connect producers with opportunities in modern retail networks.
The #MadeInCambodia campaign will run for a full year, with national products displayed and sold at supermarkets, malls, marts and mini-marts throughout the capital and provinces. Many shopping centres and shops are already participating to promote national consumption and the growth of Cambodian enterprises.
