Summary

Cambodia’s Commerce Ministry reported US$24.4 billion in trade with RCEP members in the first half of 2026, up 24% year on year. Exports were US$5.63 billion and imports US$18.8 billion.

Cambodia’s trade with members of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) reached US$24.4 billion in the first six months of 2026, up 24% from the same period in 2025, reflecting growth in the country’s trade with regional markets.

According to a report from the Ministry of Commerce, Cambodia exported US$5.63 billion worth of goods to RCEP member countries in the first half of 2026, up 11.8%, while imports were valued at US$18.8 billion, an increase of 28%.

The same report said the RCEP market remained Cambodia’s most important trading partner, accounting for nearly 64% of the country’s total trade of US$38.2 billion in the first six months of this year.

Cambodia’s major trading partners within RCEP include China, Viet Nam, Singapore and Japan, which continue to play an important role in promoting trade and investment between Cambodia and the region.

This trade growth reflects the effectiveness of RCEP in expanding export markets, improving the competitiveness of Cambodian products and attracting foreign direct investment (FDI), all important factors in supporting sustainable national economic growth.

RCEP entered into force in 2022. Its 15 members comprise ten ASEAN countries, excluding Timor-Leste, and five major trading partners: China, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Australia and New Zealand. Together, they form one of the world’s largest free trade areas.
