The report says Cambodia has achieved an important milestone in agriculture and exports, with Cambodian edible bird’s nest products receiving official approval for export to the market of the People’s Republic of China for the first time.
On July 15, 2026, China’s General Administration of Customs (GACC) officially approved BEST LIFE PRODUCT Co., Ltd. to export Cambodian edible bird’s nest products to the Chinese market.
The report describes the approval as a historic step for Cambodia’s swiftlet-farming sector and a result of joint efforts by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, GACC, the private sector, business operators and swiftlet farmers to improve production quality, hygiene and food-safety standards until they obtained recognition under international standards.
The report says the achievement not only opens China’s large market to Cambodian edible bird’s nests but also helps raise product value, create new market opportunities and improve producer incomes, while contributing to national economic growth through expanded exports of high-quality agricultural products.
