Phnom Penh: On what the report describes as the first anniversary of Thailand’s armed incursion against Cambodia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, international broadcaster Bloomberg TV organised a special programme on Cambodia, broadcasting live from the headquarters of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) to present the country’s outlook and development to an international audience.
The special programme includes four major interviews with senior Cambodian leaders: Prime Minister Hun Manet, Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol, Commerce Minister Cham Nimul, and Mines and Energy Minister Keo Rottanak.
The discussions will focus on several major topics, including the Cambodia–Thailand border situation; what the report describes as Thai troops’ continued unlawful occupation of Cambodian territory after the ceasefire; international relations; energy cooperation; investment opportunities; trade; and Cambodia’s economic development policies.
The programme is expected to become an important platform for conveying Cambodia’s voice to the international community, particularly on national sovereignty and the Royal Government’s commitment to maintaining peace and stability and promoting sustainable economic development.
