The Ministry of Tourism and Preah Sihanouk Provincial Administration will organise the “Tourism Business Forum 2026 and Chinese Tourism Familiarisation Trip to Preah Sihanouk” from tomorrow, July 29, through July 30, 2026, according to a provincial administration press release.
The forum’s theme is “Promoting the Green Season Campaign: Visit Preah Sihanouk, Cambodia.” It aims to promote the Green Season campaign, attract international visitors, especially Chinese tourists, to the province, increase direct flights, attract investors and strengthen tourism business networks.
The opening ceremony will be presided over by Minister of Tourism Huot Hak and Preah Sihanouk Governor Mang Sineth. Around 250 people are expected to attend, including representatives of the Chinese consular office, the deputy mayor of Wuxi, the director of Sihanouk International Airport, representatives of ministries and institutions, local authorities, Cambodia–China friendship and investment associations, Chinese media and tourism operators. Participants will include around 40 domestic tourism companies and 40 Chinese tourism companies.
Through the event, the provincial administration will organise presentations on the province’s tourism potential, tourism business matching and networking, a familiarisation trip and study visits to various cultural, historical and natural tourism destinations.
The provincial administration will also organise Green Season tourism sports activities to promote and attract tourism during the season. These will include concerts alongside stalls featuring local products, particularly activities such as Kun Khmer boxing, beach volleyball, table tennis and arm wrestling. This is an important event the province regularly organises to encourage Green Season tourism in line with the Ministry of Tourism’s guidance.
The provincial administration hopes the 2026 Tourism Business Forum will contribute significantly to promoting the Green Season campaign, attracting investors and increasing direct flights to welcome more international visitors, particularly Chinese tourists, to Preah Sihanouk.
