Preah Sihanouk: The provincial administration, with support from the Ministry of Tourism, organised the 2026 Tourism Business Forum under the theme “Promoting the Green Season Campaign: Visit Preah Sihanouk–Cambodia” to publicise tourism potential, attract international visitors and strengthen Cambodia–China tourism cooperation.
The two-day forum was scheduled from July 29 to 30, 2026 at Sokha Resort in Sihanoukville, presided over by Tourism Minister Huot Hak and Preah Sihanouk governor Mang Sineth.
Approximately 250 participants included leaders of ministries and institutions, local authorities, tourism associations, Cambodia–China friendship associations, domestic and international tourism operators, and Chinese delegations and tourism companies from Hainan and Guangdong provinces and the cities of Shanghai, Nanjing, Wuxi, Chengdu and Chongqing.
The forum aims to promote Preah Sihanouk’s Green Season tourism campaign, expand international tourism markets, especially China, encourage direct flights, increase investment and strengthen partnerships between the two countries’ tourism operators.
Key activities include the official opening, a press conference, presentations on provincial tourism potential, business-to-business matching, networking among Cambodian and Chinese tourism operators, and familiarisation trips to key mainland destinations and Koh Rong.
The provincial administration also organised Green Season tourism sports events, concerts and exhibitions of local products to enhance the appeal and create a lively atmosphere for tourists and investors.
Through the forum, the provincial administration expects to broaden promotion of the province as a destination, attract international tourists, increase international flight connections and encourage further investment, in line with government policy to develop Preah Sihanouk into a major tourism destination and economic centre in Cambodia.
