The General Commissariat of National Police successfully completed its fourth large-scale escort motorcade rehearsal on the afternoon of July 31, 2026, in preparation for security, public order and safety arrangements for the upcoming Francophonie Summit hosted by Cambodia. The rehearsal followed the instructions of General Sar Thet, National Police Commissioner-General and chair of Subcommittee 4 for Security, Public Order and Rescue. Officers from the Bodyguard Department conducted the rehearsal in Phnom Penh and around Techo International Airport.
The exercise aimed to assess the forces’ capabilities, coordination and response in ensuring security, public order and safety for the leaders and international delegations attending this important summit.
Lieutenant General យឹម លាង, Deputy National Police Commissioner-General responsible for leading the Bodyguard Department’s work, expressed his deep gratitude to residents and all road users for their understanding and patience with temporary traffic congestion while the escort motorcades passed.
Lieutenant General យឹម លាង said the fourth rehearsal had proceeded smoothly and achieved its planned objectives. All participating forces demonstrated discipline, a strong sense of responsibility and readiness to ensure that the Francophonie Summit would take place safely, securely and successfully.
